"Bitter" or "Beloved"

Mary, Jesus' Mother
Mary, Jesus' Mother

Day 4

Mary was appointed by God to be Jesus Christ's mother. God sent an angel named Gabriel to inform Mary about God's plan for her life.

In Luke 1:26-36 we find a good  description of what she was commissioned to do. Mary was favored by God. She was a virgin when she impregnated with the Holy Spirit. Mary's husband Joseph was awaken by an angel to inform him what happened to Mary.  Mary had Jesus in Bethlehem and raised him in Nazareth. Mary was with in Jerusalem when Jesus was crucified and at his ascension.
